Live Bass Fishing has been a long time in the making… That is in my mind at least.
You see, ever since I can remember fishing has been my passion. More than just my favorite pass time, but something that inhabits my thoughts more than just about anything else. To go a step further, Bass Fishing is my love.
There is something magical about Bass Fishing. Studying the structure and body of water, looking at the weather patterns, the water temps, and the available bait. This is just the beginning. Then it comes time to figure out where to fish and how to make them bite.
There is so much that goes into it. These different scenarios can keep me up at night thinking through what I think will be the ticket. Bass fishing is a lot about knowledge, but also about being flexible and finding the right pattern for the right day… This is just a little bit about why I love Bass Fishing.
So here’s a little more about me. As I was growing up my family moved a lot. I mean, a lot. I remember changing three schools in one year. We moved nineteen times before I left home at nineteen years old. This had a huge impact on me in a lot of ways. First, it made it hard to make long-term friends so fishing became my coping mechanism, my way out. It was my therapy and has become like a lifelong friend.
Because we moved so much, I had an opportunity to fish a lot of different water. While the bodies of water changed, bass was always the species of choice. I did a lot of bank fishing and fished a lot of urban lakes. A lot of times I would have to ride my bike or get a ride where I was dropped off for the day. Just me and the fish.
When I wasn’t fishing, I remember waking up early on Saturday morning to watch fishing shows like In-Fisherman and Bill Dance Outdoors. I loved these shows and expanded my desire to test new tactics and try new lures. This desire continues to grow (my wife can attest to this) as I am always on the lookout for a new idea, or presentation, that can give me a fishing edge.
Bass Fishing with the Family
In my personal life, I have a wonderful wife and two amazing kids. I really lucked out as my wife encourages my fishing passion. She says that I am so much happier when I fish regularly and she is always pushing me to do things like starting this website. My children are both boys and it is a blast to take them out and share my knowledge and passion with them.
I look forward to sharing my bass fishing tips, tactics, and stories with you as this site grows and morphs into what it will become.
Happy Bass Fishing,
Jonathan Burke
